本会近月来每天都在 “脸书” (Facebook) 上面发表有关树艺学的中文文章, 這些文章基本上反映了近期在台湾和国内, 有关树木种植采用的技术, 与国际之间的相比。  在文章里,  笔者不采用严谨的科学论文报导, 却选用简明轻松的手法写出, 把精要的知识部份, 以老少皆宜的文笔流露介绍出来, 以求人人明白, 大众同意。

 

由於时间问题, 这些文章在 “脸书” (Facebook) 上面, 都是每次只能写上一小段, 但几乎天天有写。   现在把它们拼凑起来, 可以变成一篇可供参考用的科普文章, 对行业发展, 非常有利。

 

本会踪横大中华地区多年, 在树艺行业发展方面, 感觉到目前本地区最需要的, 并非用外语写出的高深理论研究, 反而是用中文写出的基础树艺知识。  所謂 “万丈高楼从地起”, 如果连基础都打不好, 妄谈甚麼追欧赶美, 可能只是 “陪了夫人又折兵” 吧。  除香港以外, 目前本地区从事树艺工作又懂英语的人是少之又少, 用英语知识硬压上去, 可能只会弄巧成拙, 自讨没趣, 令对方难以接受。

 

中华树艺师学会全由华人领导,  全为本地人服务, 官方语言也是中文, 采用的知识技术则统是从国际方面传绎过来, 绝对洋为中用, 中外合壁。  本会将会继往开来, 宗旨目标不变, 不停不竭的为树艺行业发热发光, 亦确保本地人的利益优先, 不作任何组织机构的雇佣兵, 望各位会员继续支持, 感谢大家。

Attached is an article on Tree Transplanting written in traditional Chinese for our Chinese Station Members spread across the China Region including Taiwan.

 

Currently, about half our 2,300+ Station Members cannot understand English.  In Taiwan & China, only around 1% of the population can communicate with adequate English, & perhaps less than 1% of this English speaking population, are working in the landscape industry including Tree Work.  Our Station always insists that now is not the time to push advanced arboricultural knowledge into the China Region in English, but to introduce the basics in Chinese so that the general masses can understand & support.  What we have achieved in HK cannot represent the rest of our vast territory, because CAA is still working hard to debate the basics with the many academics in the China Region, to try to update their knowledge to the international level.  The road is long & hard.

 

The attached article is already published in the only national  “Green Newspaper” of China called the China Gardening News last week, to talk to their thousands of Landscape Bureaus & experts.  More of this kind of articles are being produced by CAA regularly to benefit the Tree Care Industry in China & Taiwan.  We have our many channels.

 

CAA will continue the work of ISA HK/China to promote proper tree care in the China Region.  We are happy to share this work with anyone who is genuinely helping us.

本会非常高興的告诉各位, 我方首以 “中华树艺师学会” 的名義, 接受了 “日本街路树诊斷協会” 和 “日本树木醫協会” 的联合邀请, 在2013年6月16-20日里, 对日本东京都进行了五天的官式访问。  其中, 本会所受到的热情礼待, 包括全程安排华语翻译、安排在东京银座区住宿高级酒店、安排全国树木医讲座和最新技术器材现场交流会、安排到皇居和各名胜点观摩古树等等, 令本会受宠若惊, 亦万分感激日方的浓厚款待。 

 

日本的树木医制度, 是当地官方唯一承认的树艺机构, 已有近30年的历史。  要成为一名日本树木医殊不容易, 首先必须拥有7年以上的相关经验, 通过一个只有约10%合格率左右的入学试, 然后被安排去参加一个14天的地狱式的全天候训练, 白天学习而晚上考试, 每天如是。  捱过了14天以后, 还要进入最后由资深树木医团队组成的面试大会, 在各人投票通过后, 方能成为树木医， 过程一点都不简单。  30多年來, 日本只產生了2,000个左右的树木医, 而牌照需要定期取得学分, 方能继续。  日本的树木医制度, 只有一个等别, 与大中华地区的树艺师制度分成注册、认可、执业、资深和顾问的五个等级不同, 所以目前一名有20年经验的树木医的公家收费, 与一名刚考到牌照的新手树木医相同, 很惨。

 

“日本街路树诊斷協会”, 则是官方承认的唯一树木检查诊断机构, 其性质与大中华地区内的树木评估员身份相若。 “日本街路树诊斷協会” 里面的会员只有企业公司, 而没有个人, 主要是考虑到整体能力和工作保险方面的问题, 目前会员数目只有六十多家, 由每家再自行任聘树木医团队去进行樹木诊断工作。  以日本总面积有广东、广西两省加起之大, 而所有的政府樹木管理只由六十多家企业来分担, 做成每家企业都门庭若市, 供不应求, 生意非常火爆。

 

在本会几天的交流接触里, 我们非常感受到日本在树艺行业发展方面的官民紧密合作关系, 在陪同的人员当中, 也有一位是国土交通厅的高级公务员來全程作出介绍。  在日本, 政府的树木诊断规格和方法, 原来都是交由民间的 “日本街路树诊斷協会” 来研究撰写, 官民之间互相合作, 互相信任, 这点非常难能可贵。  日本政府方面也经常派员出席两个协会的活动, 雙方的研究和报告也互动交流, 共创雙赢。

 

在检视日方的树木诊断器材方面, 以本会长的国际交流经验来看, 日方的水平已在某部份, 超越了世界先进水平, 特别在他们不准出口的GAMMA线透视仪方面, 这仪器准确度达90%, 比任何其他超声波仪器都准确得多, 令本会长大开眼界。

 

是次行程, 由於得到了日方的完全信任, 本会长被赠献了大量的技术资料和报告文件 (用日文写出, 但本会长能看懂日语), 肯定对日后提升大中华地区的樹艺技术知识有所帮助。  本会长同时也对日方如此的浓情厚意, 无私奉献, 感到非常感动。  在此次之后, 日中雙方的合作交流,  绝对应该进行, 这对整个亚洲发展树艺行业的势头, 有带头作同。

 

本会再次感谢日方为此次造访所作出的一切安排和款待, 亦希望在不久将来, 日方能对我地区作出回访, 我方必然投桃報李, 热情回报。

Dear Station Members,

It is the pleasure for the Station Manager (SM) to inform you all that the official visit to Japan on June 16 - 20, 2013, has been a complete success.

This visit is in the name of the China Arborist Association, & it was announced in the circulation all around Japan in this manner.  This also marks the first contact between the Japanese Arborists (which are called the Tree Doctors in Japan) & the Chinese Arborists in any technical & cultural exchange so far.  Both the organizers & the SM have been taking this opportunity very seriously, & had prepared well before the visit.

During the official events of June 17 - 19, the SM was shown the old & valuable trees in the Imperial Palace, & in the first western park (Hibiya) of Japan.  He was given a full morning of seminar  on Tree Planting in Asian Cities, a site demonstration of the latest Decay Detection Equipment in Japan, & a lot of eating & drinking.  Both sides practically worked more than 10 hours solid everyday, & Tokyo is a big city to travel around.

Some of the visiting photos can be viewed in the attachment of this message, though not all due to the email size.  On the other hand, the SM has been given a lot of the latest information on Tree Risk Assessment (TRA) techniques in Japan (in Japanese language which the SM can read), & their classified tree failure reports of Govt Depts.  This will become very useful for our own development in the China Region later.

A major topic of discussion by both sides is on the further cooperation of the two organizations, & the eventual inauguration of the Asia Arboricultural Alliance (AAA).  Both sides have contributed thoughts on this matter, & both sides have agreed that we should work together in time, to make it happen.  Asia cities have got our own cultural & historical background.  Leading the work by our own people would be seen to be more appropriate, though there will be many considerations to take in.

CAA is very grateful for the warm & cordial reception by the Japan Tree Doctors while in Japan, & we have expressed that we are looking forward to a reciprocal visit by them anytime to the China Region.  Together we work, we can bring a better tree care environment to the many awaiting cities in Asia.

ISA HK/China --- First Arbor Day in China (中華首屆 "树艺同乐日")

本会在2013年5月19日, 与香港地球之友、广州市绿点公益环保促进会和华南农业大学, 合办了国内首届的 "树艺同乐日", 取得了完满成功。

 

从早上的三项讲座, 到下午的攀树工作示范里, 本会人员都展示了一套国内没有听看过的全新技术范畴, 令听众们耳目一新, 附上的图片也证明了一切。  从听众们的发言提问中, 大家都感受到 "树艺" 就是爱树护树, 树艺师也是真正的树木护理专家, 树艺学也与生物学、植物学、景观学和环保学非常不同, 也不能为其他学科所取代。

 

在下午的攀树工作示范里, 观看的人多得要站出马路, 照相机就是闪个不停, 欢众们的热情也就说明了一切。  从本会人员示范的 SRT, DDRT 和 AT 三种快速登树技术里, 观众们无不看到目瞪口呆, 他们当中很多人看过攀岩, 但从来没有看过攀树, 也没看过身上穿满装备、负重十多公斤的攀树师, 可以从地上用不到二十秒的速度, 登上树上 12+米 的高度, 简直是叹为观止。

 

本会在这次 "树艺同乐日" 里, 不単是向国内同行展示了正当的树艺知识, 同时也示范了攀树工作者的能力, 在年轻一代里播下树艺行业种子, 令本行业能在国内萌芽生长。  从收到的几十份入会申请当中, 参加的大部份的是有大专学历或以上的新一代。  随著长江后浪推前浪, 这批年轻学者会变成树艺行业在国内推动的生力军, 这点是可喜可贺。

 

由于这次活动举办得非常成功, 本会期待著在两岸四地其他地方, 继续举办如此活动, 为树艺行业的发展作出推动, 也同时为社会建设作出贡献。

 

另, "中华树艺师学会" 方面已经订好 "树艺师制度架构" 和 "会务架构"，大部份都如前一样, 详情请参阅附件。  是项架构将会成为大中华地区日后树艺师的发展途径, 也同时欢迎两岸四地所有相关机构参考采用。

Dear Station Members,

 

On 19 may 2013, our Station (ISA HK/China now & China Arborist Association later) has jointly organized the First Arbor Day in China with various HK & China organizations at the South China Agricultural University (SCAU) in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China.  Photos of the events can be downloaded in the attachments above this message.

 

Although our Station has organized various seminars & tree climbing demonstrations in China before, this is the first time that we have organized it officially & jointly with  China organizations in a big way.  We see this as a very good start in this land with 650+ cities, but not yet a single Arborist.

 

The seminar sessions in the morning have explained the importance of the Arborist Profession in the Tree Care Industry, tree climbing techniques & Tree Risk Assessment methods.  All sessions were conducted in Mandarin.  The afternoon sessions were all on Tree Work & Tree Climbing.  KW Lee, SY Ho & TK Huen, all student of the Station Manager of the past, demonstrated SRT, DDRT & Body Thrust techniques.  When the audience saw KW Lee rammed up 12+ m in less than 20 seconds, the applause just did not stop.  They were amazed.

 

Dozens of Station Membership were collected during the event, & the audience was highly enthusiastic.  It has been a very joyful & educational event, well supported by the participants.  We now look forward to organizing more of such events anywhere in Taiwan & China.  We are fully capable of it.

 

Arboriculture in China & Taiwan is slowly moving ahead.  Our Station will be there whenever we are needed to make this happen.
